Highways Engineer with experience in a wide range of integrated transport and development planning projects. Project manages and takes the lead role in the preparation and submission of highways and transportation supporting documentation for planning applications nationally. Works closely with businesses in developing Travel Plans and introducing smarter working practices.
Steven Philips
Director

Steven helped launch Mosodi in 2018 and is a transport planner with over 18 years’ experience in highways and transportation. He advises a variety of private and public sector organisations on a wide range of development proposals. He takes a lead role in managing projects and prepares detailed reports to support development sites through the planning application process. Provides technical expertise in accessibility planning, public rights of way, junction modelling and has been an expert witness. In his spare time, he watches Oldham Athletic and goes walking in the peak district.
Chris Taylor
Director of Sustainable Travel

Chris joined Mosodi in 2018 and is Director of Sustainable Travel Services with over 20 years’ experience providing support to a wide range of high profile clients including Active Travel England, NHS, Transport for Greater Manchester, Haworth and a large number of local authorities across the country. Chris leads on large scale projects across large developments delivering innovative and comprehensive solutions to reduce car dependency. Chris created 1dayaweek, our behaviour change campaign, which is being delivered across Tameside and across several high profile developments.
Kat Stockburn
Senior Engineer

Kat joined Mosodi in 2019 and has provided highways input into numerous residential and commercial planning applications, assisted in providing 42 TfGM active travel events and submitted many PRoW diversion notices to name just a few! In her spare time Kat loves spending time in the gym and getting engrossed in a good tv series. With a keen interest in sustainability she is passionate about alternative transport modes, and assists in delivering our sustainability campaigns. Kat holds a BA Hons in Geography and Planning and a MSc in Transport Planning.
Jessica Giles
Engineer

Jess joined Mosodi in 2021 and has 5 years of experience in the industry. Jess’ expertise lie in GIS mapping, spreadsheets, marketing and social media. Jess has assisted in many TfGM events and created active travel leaflets both residential and commercial. In her spare time, Jess enjoys going to concerts, walking her Cavapoochon Bailey and weekends away in the campervan! Jess holds a BA Hons in Geography and Business and a MSc in Transport Planning.
Elliot Kelly
Sustainable Travel Adviser

Joining Mosodi in September 2024, Elliot leans on his experiences of working in the Dutch transport sector and holds a BSc in Marine Geography and MSc in Sustainable Development. He has developed knowledge on sustainable travel and utilises best practice and design to overcome barriers in mobility, whilst using qualitative and quantitative research skills for data and policy analysis. At Mosodi, Elliot has worked across national, regional and local levels including working with clients such as Active Travel England and Transport for Greater Manchester, whilst he also fulfils the role of Travel Plan Coordinator across a number of locations.
Freya Daniels
Graduate Transport Planner

Freya recently Mosodi in August 2024 as a Graduate Transport Planner following the culmination of her BA Geography degree at the University of Nottingham. During her studies, GIS was a particular highlight for Freya, including a project which mapped the optimal location for a COVID vaccination centre within Nottinghamshire. Freya is very passionate about sustainability and so is thrilled to be working for a company that maintains similar values. In her spare time, Freya enjoys immersing herself in a good book, hiking in the Peak District with friends and family, and going to the gym.
Owen Price
Digital and Social Media Manager

Owen’s the port of call for all things digital, whether it’s social media, graphic design, marketing or just converting a pesky file for you. With 4 years’ experience running his own company and seeing global success with it, he provides a unique perspective to Mosodi, particularly in regard to elevating our 1dayaweek campaign. With a passion for all things creative, you can normally find him at a gig in his spare time – favourite one ever being My Chemical Romance in 2022!
Molly Helicon
Sustainable Travel Advisor

Molly holds a BA Hons in Geography with Business from the University of Nottingham. Molly’s passion for sustainability inspired her to pursue a career in sustainable travel, where she’s excited to contribute to the development of greener, more innovative solutions. Outside of work, Molly stays active – whether on the hockey pitch, sailing, or exploring the great outdoors. Recently settled in the area, she’s excited to discover the Peak District’s many trails and scenic beauty.
Dave Haycocks
Finance Director

David has been the Finance Director of Mosodi since it was launched in 2018. He has a wealth of experience in financial management within the property sector; working previously within the corporate banking sector and was involved in complex development funding for a number of years. David works closely with the management team at Mosodi to oversee all aspects of the financial elements of the company.

Sydney Hulme
Administrator

Sydney joined Mosodi in 2023 and has 5 years’ experience working in the Business and Finance industry. Sydney is currently at the halfway mark for her AAT Qualification, which she is really enjoying. Sydney is fitness obsessed, so in her spare time she enjoys going to the gym and competing with her dance team. She also trains a dance team of 12-16 year olds. Away from this, a holiday is a must for Sydney!
