Winners Chapel, Blackley Winners Chapel International Manchester

Mosodi supported the development of a new multi-purpose facility for Winners Chapel, delivering detailed access appraisals, feasibility studies, and traffic management plans for a site accommodating up to 1,500 attendees per service. The proposed scheme includes a main auditorium, consulting rooms, children’s church, offices, a bookshop, café, and classrooms. Our initial parking and access strategy was integral to shaping the pre-application brochure, ensuring that transport and movement considerations were built into the design from the outset.

Background

Given the site’s proximity to community-sensitive uses—including St Euphrasia’s Care Home and several local schools—it was essential to ensure that any development would integrate seamlessly with the existing road network and protect surrounding access points. Mosodi was engaged early to carry out access appraisals and provide clear, practical guidance on movement, parking, and the overall transport strategy.

Outcomes

Mosodi produced a robust Traffic Management Plan that ensured continuous access to St Euphrasia’s Care Home via Chain Road and safeguarded access to nearby schools. Crucially, the plan also demonstrated that all car parking could be fully accommodated within the site boundary—minimising potential disruption to residents. The feasibility work and transport inputs provided by Mosodi played a key role in establishing a credible and sustainable access strategy, supporting both planning engagement and future operational needs.
