Experience
We were appointed in a consortium with Sheffield Hallam and National Centre to deliver the National Active Travel Portfolio Evaluation, where we conducted extensive research on active travel M&E processes. In this capacity, we collaborated with every local authority across the country, providing tailored M&E capability support programmes to enhance the evaluation and monitoring of active travel initiatives. This work was crucial in developing best practices and ensuring the consistency and reliability of data used to assess the success of the active travel strategies.
Our work on this project has equipped Active Travel England and local authorities with the tools and knowledge to assess their active travel schemes more effectively, helping to track progress, identify areas for improvement, and ensure that future initiatives continue to promote sustainable transport solutions.
